Journal #20 The Last One May 16, 2009
This is the last journal of my blog. It has been a wonderful experience writing on
it. Even if sometimes I didn’t know what to write about. Taking this english class was
differnt from the other ones. At the beginning of class it scare me a little just by the
fact that we would have to write too much. But it helped me to develop my writing
skills. Doing the research project was fun too; I learned a lot doing it. The presentation
of my project in front of the class freakme out. The presentation suposed to be in 10 minutes
and I ended at 5 minutes. I got new experiences writing different things than the usual
Also I made new friends in the class. It is so bad that this is going to be my last semester
and I will not have the opportunity to see them again.
Journal #19 ………….??? May 16, 2009
This is almost my last journal and I don’t know what to write about. I always think
a lot before knowing what to said or write about. For example like in this case. Sometimes
my father told me that I have to feel secure about what I am going to do;but I dont know
why I still being unsecure and even shy. Being a shy person could limit you in many
moments. For example when you have talk to other person, I start to feel nervous just
to know that someone is talking to me and I don’t about what to talk about. Another
thing that makesme fell nervous is when I have to talk in front of a group or a class.
But when I was taking my acting classes it helped me a lot to loose that shyness. If
it is difficult for me to talk imagine how it is to write. Sometimes when I am writing
I forgot how to said things and when I am writing in english sometimes I forgot how
to write some of the words. I have to change and be more secure about the things that I do.
Journal #18 When I fell bored May 16, 2009
Sometimes people have things to do or places to go. Well in my case I am most of the
time at my home. So I have to find out what to do. I always try to put things in my room
in other places or in other way just to see it different. In other times I started to clean
the house it could sound boring but I don’t have anymore to do. I turn on the computer
and navegate in the internet for a while but at some point I just got tired of it. The last
thing that I do is to go to the family room and watch all my movie collection and pick
one with my sister. We watch the movie, make some pop corn and we even see the
special features. Sometimes we watch the same movie twice. We like to do it because
everytime we watch it again we find something different. So this are one of the things
that I do when I fell bored at my house.
Journal #17 CPS Exam May 16, 2009
The CPS (Certified Professional Secretary) is an important exam that people that are
studying Office Administration take it. During this semester I was taking a class in wich
we review all the three books that we have to study for this exam. It was a little difficult
because at the same time I had other classes. I need some time to study for this exam
because it has to much information to read. So few weeks ago we went to take the
exam at the UPR at Rio Piedras. At 5am we were on our way to the universty. The exam
began at 8:30am and end at 5pm. It was a long day for me and my friends. The first
parts were more easy but the last one for me was the most difficult. Once we went out
of the exam I felt really exausted. But we went to a place to eat and clear our minds.
Taking this exam was good experience and also a stessing one. I hope to pass it; because
it would help me in my professional career.
Journal #16 Friends are for ever May 15, 2009
Few weeks ago my sister and I rent a movie called Bride Wars. It was a story about
two best friends that know each other since they were little. One day they were at a
wedding and in that moment they decided to get married in the same place and to
be each other maid of honor. This movie reminds me my best friend and I. Whe know
each other since we were on kinder garden. We studied all our grades in the same
school. While we where in school we were always together for everything. We study
together, go shopping together,went to each other houses, to the movie theather,
and in some cases to family parties. But once we got into collage things started to
change. At our first year in collage we took some clases together and that make us to
keep seen each other. In our second year we just see each other when we where going
take launch. So we started to get a little distant from each other; but that is normal.
Because even if I didn’t saw her I was always there for her. Like I said friends are for
ever it doesn’t matter if years passed away but you know that out there is someone
that will always be there for you in any moment that you need it.
Journal #15 Graduation!! May 15, 2009
Everyone dream for the day of the graduation to come. We graduate from kinder graden, six grade, nine grade and tweelve grade. But I think that the most that we remembered is the graduation of tweelve grade. Because it is maybe the last time that you will see your friends again and you don’t know when are you going to have the opportunity to see them again. But the graduation from the university is one that you could even expected to come. Because you will think that when that day it’s going to pass many years. Right now I am going to graduate from my Bachelor in Office Administration. The time passed really fast and I didn’t knew it until I was in my second semester of my last year. I realize that maybe I didn’t enjoy to much my university years because I didn’t made many friends. I alway went out of my classes and travel back to my house. But the friends that got even if they are not too many have been always with be. Maybe this was the last year that I enjoyed most because my sister got in to collage this year too and I got the opportunity to share sometime with her and her friends. This are days that we have to live one by one because they are not comming back again.
Journal #14 New York City May 15, 2009
Since last year my sister and I have dreamed to go to New York. Because it is a place were you can find things related with movies. Even we though to go there stay for a while and went to audtions for movies. We always wanted to be in a movie. We have also went to and audition to be extras in a movie of George Clooney that was going to be filmed part of it in Puerto Rico. But they didn’t call us. Also I am interested to visit this place because it has many beautiful places to visit like Central Park. I have seen many movies that were filmed in New York and it seems like a wonderful place. Another thing that I like is all the buildings that are decorated with lights and a sort of big screen. This city looks amazing in the night. So I hope to have the opportunity to go and visit New York someday. It would be a wonderful experience to me and my family.
Journal #13 An amazing place!!! May 15, 2009
I was looking on the internet something different than the usual. So I decided to find a place that is different from the others. Making this search I found a place named The World located in the coast of Dubai. This place is an island made by the man. It has 300 islands and is one of the several artificial island being constructed in Dubai. There are travel hubs strategically located trough out the development. These hubs are connetect by channels used for traffic. This is like a new place to live in. It is like something from another world. I never thought that a place like this one could ever exist. It could be a nice place to visit for a vaction; but maybe it would be too expensive because it is to far away. But the point is to get the chance to know more about the places that surround us and not to get limited by watching was is near.
Journal # 12 A day at the Beach May 14, 2009
Few weeks ago my aunt call to invite my sister, borther and I to the beach. I was not
really sure to go with her because I had some other things to do. But the night after
the day I decided to go with her and my cousins. She pick us at my house and once
we arrived we meet with other persons from the soccer team of my brother. Inside
of the water we started to play with a ball. It was really fun and dificult because the
water doesn’t allow you to move well. Also my brother made some figures with the sand
and I took some fotos of him. I had a really good time with my family and also I made
some new friends. Even if they new my brother I new them for the first time in the
beach. When the time to go arrived I looked at myself and my skin was red like a
tomatoe. I realize that I forgot to put sunblock. I look very strange because my skin
is white and I was red. I felt that my skin was burning. I learn that next time I went
to the beach to use sunblock to protect my skin from the sun.
